We are delighted to announce that SOLBARI won last night a Healthy Skin Award presented by The Skin & Cancer Foundation Inc.

We thank The Skin & Cancer Foundation Inc. for their ongoing support of SOLBARI and Ego Pharmaceuticals for sponsoring the Award.

The Healthy Skin Awards are presented by The Skin & Cancer Foundation Inc. to individuals and organisations "who strive for excellence through the effective provision of skin health services and the promotion of skin health."

"Solbari Sun Protection, established by Johanna Young, is an Australian sun protective social enterprise. Solbari produce high quality, stylish sun protective clothing, swimwear and hats, and is on a mission to prevent skin cancer, melanoma, skin damage and premature skin ageing caused by the sun. Johanna regularly supports the Foundation's events, which include the Melanoma March Melbourne and Open Day at Government House, with a percentage of profits raised going towards research at the Foundation." In her acceptance speech, Johanna highlighted how thrilled she is to "receive this Award and how great SOLBARI's journey has been in helping individuals enjoy the outdoors safely in the sun with an ongoing mission to help prevent skin cancer and melanoma."

Victorian dermatologists and prominent medical practitioners, business and community leaders, patients and supporters of the Foundation turned out in force to celebrate this great event.

Federal Assistant Minister for Health, the Hon Ken Wyatt AM MP, emphasised the crucial role of educating the community and fighting skin cancer and melanoma.

President of the Foundation, Dr. Michael Rich, said "The Healthy Skin Awards have become a key plank in our public education efforts to raise awareness of the importance of skin health across Australia."
